Since graduating with BA(Hons) Music and obtaining diplomas; CT ABRSM, LRSM and Graduate Diploma in Jazz, Rachel has pursued a career as a pianist, educator and examiner. Rachel’s varied musical career includes performing, teaching in a range of settings and styles, as well as tutoring for Jazz Factory and also examining for Trinity College London. Currently Rachel is the pianist in trio MSK with Dave Mowatt (trumpet), and Dorian Sutton, (double bass) and is the joint house pianist at East Bristol Jazz Club. As well as playing semi-regularly as a trio/duo, she also plays with local big bands. For the last 19 years, Rachel has been organising and directing a short intensive jazz course, Play Jazz Weekend, and currently teaches the piano in three schools and privately.
