Since graduating with a first-class Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree in Jazz, Bristol-based jazz pianist Andy Nowak has built a career as both a performer and an educator. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Jocelyn Brown, Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, Art Themen, Simon Spillet, Andy Clyndert, Tony Remi, Clare Teal, and Claire Martin, among others. For the past 20 years, Andy has taught jazz piano at Wells Cathedral School and Clifton College in Bristol, guiding students through the ABRSM jazz exam system. Additionally, he founded and ran JumpStartJazz, a series of jazz workshop courses in Bristol, Bath, and Stroud, and has recently enjoyed tutoring for Play Jazz Weekend. Andy also composes for his jazz piano trio, ANt, which has released two albums and toured nationally.
